    Default Trying to identify signatures...

    Hi,

Trying to identify some things here. One, the signature of the issuing police man on this 1933 document and the same for scan 2.
The last 2 items came with this document...though not dealing with 1933 and onwards, but maybe some can help in understanding the 2 last scans? from 1919?

    Many thanks,
    Neil.

The name of the first document's signer looks like "Kühn", followed, after the comma, by what appears to be the abbreviation for his officials' "rank designation". Sorry, I can't make out the latter, but I think it ends with "Sek." (-Sekretär)

The second item is a travel document of a demobilised soldier for his journey home after being released from the Austrian Army. The soldier's name was Isidor Katz, apparently a Jewish name. He was a German-Austrian whose peacetime residence was on German territory.
Issued in Vienna on 3 May 1919, the first day of the journey was to be 10 May 1919; the document was valid until 24 May 1919. Apparently the document was valid for railway transportation as it has spaces for detailed data on luggage etc.
The signature at bottom right and top right appears to be "Baumgartner".

The third document is for the same soldier's health evaluation on 29 April 1919. Mr. Katz was certified to have suffered a health debilitation due to his military service. While of fair physical strength and nourishment status, he was found to have a 40 % decreased fitness for work.
Classified as unfit for military service, he was placed on leave for a period of 12 months, before the end of which he was to be re-examined. He received disablement benefits that were also limited in time for the period of one year pending re-evaluation.

    Neil,
Unfortunately, none seem to have been signed by any high profile personality. The first may be an Oberregierungsekretär, but many senior civil servants and police officers were replaced throughout 1933 and 1934 with others who were more sympathetic to the NSDAP.
