numizz, it is genuine. You can tell by the yellowing of the paper due to age and a high acid content. It also looks like the paper is starting to deteriorate, which is another issue with old, high acidic paper. If it is not properly preserved under glass, it will eventually just crumble away. That is a particularly interesting edition. Dwight
The wear on the fold lines looks convincing to me. It's hard to fake wear and tear like that. On all the issues of VB I've seen, the underlining beneath the headline is bright red, rather than black. That might not be the case with earlier editions, though. My focus is in Allied newspapers, rather than German ones.
