I like this kind of thing, so thanks for showing them.
What is the name of this series?
Cheers, Ade.
Thanks for posting these sketches!
I have a book of sketches that were done by a German soldier. It was published in Germany during the war. When I get a chance I'll scan or photograph them and post them on here.
Best Regards,
Mike
I have some examples from other series, but I like that kind of graphics!

The images are stone lithographs. They are drawn on a litho stone with grease pencils in reverse. A mixture of art gum and nitric acid is painted on and is left for 2 or 3 minutes usually at the descretion of the print maker. The gum is washed off with turpentine and the image is etched on the stone. Then it is inked several times and ran through the press. Ergo an art print.
Thanks guys for your comments and information. Regards, Hal
