August was born on August 26th 1903 in Ach. During the war he was the rank of wachtmeister with the Schutzpolizei. August was fighting in the east when he was killed in action on November 7th 1942.

Thanks for posting. The Pol. Rgt 14 were formed in the East in July 1942, from Pol Btls 51, 122 and 313. This is shown by the erkennungsmarke details and the casualty data. As far as I can tell the unit was not part of a specific operation at the time of his death.
