Very nice! Congrats!
Does the exterior have a sort of white wash on the helmet?

Thank You
This piece was one of them many pieces that came out of a museum/collection. The collection was undisturbed for about 30+ years, since the owners death in 1928, when the museum got hold of the collection, they treated a few of the pieces, with some sort of wax or anti corrison, it can be removed. But I rather leave it be. What do you think I should do?
Former owner Alfred Ediin 1864-1928.
I would leave it as is. Unless the stuff put on is bad for the helmet. I find that if you "clean" up part of the helmet then the rest falls out of balance which then requires a full cleaning and then all the patina is gone. The most I typically do is just run a feather duster over them a few times a year.
But that is just my preference. Many collectors carefully clean / polish their pickelhaubes and this is accepted. And I'm sure that some of mine were gentle cleaned prior to me getting them.

I agree, It tends to be quite alot of work, and you might not get the result you are looking for , I managed to get a few pieces of this former collection. So more posts are on the way.
all the best Kai
Great. Looking forward to seeing them. You got yourself a lovely Haub with this one.

Thank you, I was very happy with this one, I would imagine that they are quite scarce given the age(1848) aswell as the limited production run of 600 pieces.
