Here's my wz.28 bayonet with wz.24 frog. Scabbard has original paint. Blade has original edge. A clean unmolested example.

Tony just informed me that the 2 frogs I posted are copies,Now you guys have an example of thins to look out for!
Next up is a "mobilizacyjny" 1939 bayonet, which took me several years to hunt down. The scabbard retains its nearly complete original khaki paint finish. The blade has its original factory edge.

Hello,
Knows anyone the correct Name of the polish bayonets Wz28 without flesh-guard an the "mobilizacyjny" Version?
i hope you can help me.
Regards
Hi The wz 28 that you are referring to actually is the Wz 29 WZ standing for Model in English. This is a modified bayonet known as the wz 1929 for the Mauser wz 1898 and modified rifle PWU Wz 1929 which is a modified German gun.
The Polish Mobilizacyjny bagnet 1939 is known as the Wz 1930 for the Mauser rifle 1898 and PFK 1929, made at the Perkun Factory of Warszawa. Rob

hello,
thank you for your answer.
I look for Informations long time and i find a lot of and i know a lot of... but i think some links are not correkt.
it exist the Modelles Wz.22, Wz24, Wz25 and Wz27. This Modelles normly made no problems ba the classifing.
but the wz28 ist more difficult.
i Infomations i get looks so:
Fist produktion was the wz.28 line with a Flashguard. After introducing the wz29 rifle, this fleshguard was not longer needed. So...in 1930 the produktion of the Bayontes without fleshguard started... (often be called wz29(30) )
In 1931 it was ordered...all this moddels called wz.29.
In 1939 it was a slight differnt version introduced... this never be calles Wz29(30).
What i needed are the correkt official Names of this moddles... not the "so called Modells" or "Collectornames"
is the wz28 the fist name for the version with the Fleshguard?
is the Wz29 or Wz29(30) in the origin the version without fleshguard?
Is the wz29(30) is differnat much rarer version?
is the so called "Wz39" the official Name?
Exist polish orders or official dokuments about this modells?
Regards
