    Major Pawel Luczak was identified by letters, postcards, pocket calendar. AM number 1717, found and id's fairly early.

    Major Luczak fought in World War I in Russian Uniform, he fought on the Russian -Austrian front where he was taken POW and kept until 1918. Early 1919 he joined Polish Army and was sent to 15 Infantry Regiment, where he won a VM and KW x 2.
    He won a VM in a battle of Lubina, 29 August 1920 where the 15th Regiment was waiting for a attack from bolshevik cavalry, He took initiative with two sections and attacked bolshevik cavalry (3 squadrons) and send them running...
    He took prisoners and horses and the 15th Infantry held the line.
    In a battle by Stepankowicze he also broke up cavalry on the left flank. VM # 4513.

    Here is a Legitymacja for being wounded in defense of Poland. This one for Lt Soletyllo from 9 PSK, who at the time of being wounded was a member of the 205th Volunteer Infantry Regiment. Signed by General Smorawinski who died in Katyn.
    It is also signed by General Mond, who commanded the 205th Volunteer Infantry during the Polish bolshevik War of 1920.
    It says that Lt Soletyllo got shot in left leg, at night of 3/4 October 1920 by Village Matuzy. (southern Lithuania ).

    My first time seeing this.

    Podchorazy Czeslaw Wojdat. Murdered in Katyn. Next to his name in the Katyn Ksiega Cmentarna Book says : bdd (break danych) information missing. No picture in the Book, this may be likely only picture that survived.

    On the back of the picture it says : For Franek, in remembrance of soldiering together in Divisional Course of Reserve Cadets in Luck, 28 April 1938.

    While searching for Major Skarzenski in internet, I found a obituary for his Daughter. She came to USA, and died in 2012.

    Back of the picture says : "Rotmistrz Skowronski and trumpeters before the Escort Squadron of Polish King at Wawel Castle. " This is 8th Ulan Regiment.
    Rtm Skowronski was a Virtuti Militari winner from 1939. And a winner of KW x 4.
    Murdered in Charkow, 1940.
