Polish Flag

First I hope I put this in the right thread. I believe this is a WWII Polish flag . I found this flag about 20 years ago in the garbage. At the time I gave it to my uncle because he is Polish. Well today he gave it back . Any more info on it would be very helpful. Its made of wool lots of nips and repairs its also around 8' x3 1/2". Gary

Polish Naval Ensign ... if it's pre 1945, after 1955 it could be also a variation of national flag.

Just a guess, but judging from the fact that the national eagle shield is off center maybe this was a naval ensign with the ‘swallowtail’ V-cut end trimmed off - ??

Guys I don't know it could be naval but the stitching is the same all the way around.

Very nice flag! Here is a good link on Polish flags. I couldn't find this one but I didn't look very hard. I'm sure it's in there somewhere.
