Hello all,
I wonder if anybody came across this Order of Virtuti Militari:
Copy of Polish Military Cross 1831
Hi Simon,
This is absolutely fake. I hope that you have not bought it.
Regards,
Jacek
Any idea who might be behind this fake and when was it made?
My last shotVirtuti Militari PSZnZ made in UK
Hi Tom, yes, a Gr. Techn. product (Grupa Techniczna Osrodka Radio Sztabu Naczelnego Wodza w Londynie). Very scarce. These were primarily awarded within the 1st Armoured Division. I'm assuming the smiling face is an indicator that you are the new owner? If so, congratulations on a very sharp purchase!
Cheers,
Tony

What can You say about this VM from Oflag?
Hi Tom, the only thing I can say is that it's the first such piece that I've seen. And it's unusual that there was no attempt at carving in the center disc eagle, or any other details. Is there any supporting provenance that this was indeed produced by POW's in German captivity?
