Sorry if i have posted in the wrong place....as i think i have...

Looking for info regarding my father..All of his war documents, medals were stolen years ago, so looking for any information, pictures, army number... His name Bronislaw Lachowski, he was in the 3rd Carpathian rifle Division, 2 Corps 3DSK 1922/5, awarded the Cross of Valor, his journey..dubno, siberia, persia, italy , monte cassino... brother Tadeusz, father Leon, Originally from Dubno, now part of Ukraine.

In the 3DSK record his details are shown as:

LACHOWSKI Bronisław, 1922/5, strz., 4. bn., KW

so he was a strzelec (rifleman, private) in the 4th Battalion and was awarded the KW - the Polish Krzyż Walecznych or Cross of Valour. His full army number would be L-1922-5-III.

If you had his records from the British MOD then there is no reason not to apply for them again. They will send you a copy if you ask for his full record.
