Hello ArmiaPolska,
Many thanks for your post its made by J R Gaunt Ltd, Birmingham not Spink & Son Ltd, London.
Also in the Wojciechowski & Sawicki Book, the examples shown have only the Number on the top arm, so this might be a private purchase from J R Gaunt Ltd.
Best wishes
Andrzej
Thank you, of course it is Gaunt. I thought about Gaunt, but I wrote Spink .
Have you ever seen a badge like this?

Hello Jakub,
Many thanks for your reply and in answer to your question No I have not seen a badge like this.
Best wishes

I know of four original examples of the 6th Armoured Regiment commemorative badge. All exhibit the same characteristics. It thus begs the question that in view of the fact that the badge had a low production figure why would the same firm produce another die setup to make the same badge with different traits ? Given the rarity of this badge it could be a case of " let's muddy the waters " to catch out the unwary. Too many manufacturing anomalies for this variant to be " the real McCoy ".
