Currently for sale on Allegro.pl the following items belonging to Por.pil P2589 Mieczysław Sawicki VM, KW x 3, ML x 2, MW x 1, DFC etc.







Mieczysław Sawicki was born in Niemiercze on the 8th October 1917 and died in Iver in Buckinghamshire, UK on the 12th February 2008, he was buried in St. Peter's Church yard. During the war served in the Carpathian Rifle Brigade, then decided on a move to the Polish Air Force, he flew with 318 Squadron and was awarded the British Distinguished Flying Cross.

Of note is His Legitymacja for 303 Squadron Badge, the link to the auction is below.

Hello Everyone,

For sale on Allegro at the moment is the following :

Virtuti Militari 5th Class Nr: 8508 awarded to St.Sierzant Pilot Władysław Ziejka 300 Sqdn, Service Nr: 780719, born 22nd July 1910 in Radłów, by the end of the war he had been awarded the VM, KW x 2, BKZ, ML, etc he had also been promoted to Chorąży. After the end of the war he settled in Nottingham and in 1957 he married Ann Sosen, Władysław died on the 28th December 1980 and was cremated on the 6th January 1981 at Wilford Hill Cemetery in Nottingham.

You may be right I sincerely apologies, in that case the Virtuti Militari Nr: 8509 was awarded to:

Sierzant Tadeusz Aranowski, Service Nr: 780219, Born on the 27th September 1919 in Szczutowo in Brodnica Provence, he was a Wireless Operator with 304 & 305 Sqdn's by the end of the war he was a St.Sierzant with the VM, KW,ML.

Tadeusz Aranowski died on the 7th May 2003 and is buried in Gorczencia, photo of Tadeusz taken during the war is below
