Here's the one I mentioned, sold on a Polish retail site in Sept 2011. Note the rather crude repair to keep the edelweiss flower attached.

Two items from the same seller
What do you think?
Firstly - eBay - The UK's Online Marketplace
1 Batalion Saperow Kolejowych
Secondly - eBay - The UK's Online Marketplace
22 Kompania Zaopatrywania
I'm assuming that both are bad - but I was rather intrigued by the Engineer badge because shouldn't the enamel colours be black and red rather than black and white?
Many thanks
James
The 1st Railway Sappers Battalion is a copy. The ‘Wojtek’ is genuine. And you are correct about the enamel colours on the sappers badge. Incidentally, those are amongst the rarest of the 2nd Corps badges. Almost never seen on the market. Correction – never seen on the market, at least by me.

Tony

What do you think of this 7th Pulk badge?

Many thanks James
Its a collins made lapel badge worth between $35 to $45
The attached correct one sold for approximately $150 in Poland some time ago
cheers
I might add the Lorioli spinner is incorrect
as this was made by Picchianni and has a serrated spinner
Hi James,
Agreed on the Collins badge. The backing appears genuine.

Another 1st Railway Sappers Battalion badge being sold on ebay
Poland Badge, 1 Polish Railway Sappers Battalion, Polish 2 Corps | eBay
with a very interesting story. I have never heard of this badge being made in England. It dosent look like a Kirkwood or Spink badge and wonder if it might have been made by Bialkiewicz. Does anyone have any information to contribute?
