Hello Jaxmon and Ze-Pole,
Would I be correct in thinking that this book was compiled by Witold Berendt & Henryk Kątny, in 1984, comprising of 194 Pages privately published detailing the Regiments History from 1939-1984.
Best wishes
Andrzej
Hi guys,
Andrzej is right. Published in London 1984. Print is in Polish.

Simon
Does the book contain a list of unit badge recipients by number?

Hi Tony,
Unfortunately no such list is included. There are a few lists, like KIA's, VM's and KW's awarded. Plenty of pictures. Interesting read.

Looking forward to the review Andrzej !
@ Polish2corps; looks a intresting biography .
Thanks Andrzej. My immediate reaction with any such release is to buy it. But having recently read and enjoyed Noman Davies’ “Trail of Hope” (earlier post # 213), and also having just received the Polish Army Museum's release “2nd Polish Corps”*, which also recounts the history, I’ll join Pieter1942 in awaiting your review. The story has been told and retold in several books so I am interested in what, if any, new ground is covered.
As far as Two Years In a Gulag, just ordered my copy. Somehow this one has eluded me. I look forward to reading it during the long flights to and from Poland this summer. Thanks again to the author.
*The “2nd Polish Corps” is a beautifully presented large format book loaded with hundreds of period photos and images of uniforms, badges, equipment, etc. The first edition sold out quickly and I was very fortunate to obtain one of the last two copies available for sale at the museum. No word yet on a second printing. Some images below.
Cheers,
Tony

The “2nd Polish Corps”; like pictured in the Post of Tony, is also on my Bookshelf. It is indeed a very nice book and recommended ;
