Hello Simon,

Many thanks for your post I have been able to glean the following information from the Regimental History and other web sources, first of all the Regimental History list's Mikjaniec as being Bronisław no Bolesław listed. The Army Number is the same 277-III as on the Luggage tag.

Date of Birth : 1919

Army Number: (also found on His ID Tags) : 1919-277-III

Unit : 8PAPLC

Awarded the Monte Cassino Cross Numbered : 37083

Medal Wojska Legitymacja Numbered : 22210

British Awards Legitymacja Numbered : 547

2nd Corps Badge & Legitymacja Numbered : 564 (only 3 Numbers are listed in the regimental History)

The 4th Battery was under the command of Por.art. Wiesław Jan Wołosiuk.

After the end of the war he came with his Regiment to the UK and joined the Polish Ressettlement Corps his Number being 30062119 in 1947 he left the UK on board the SS Aquitania from Southampton bound for Canada.

He joined the SPK Branch 412 and died in 1999 , he was buried iin Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener, Waterloo County, Ontario

Photograph of the grave attached notice his date of birth is engraved as 1920 ?
