2.ułan WIĄCKOWSKI Stefan born 04.01.1903 in Urzędów.Occurs in stock unit:Karpacki Lancers Regiment.Returned to Poland.He participated in 1939 September Campain.Captured by Soviet in Włodzimierz Wołyński.Returned to Poland in 1947.Died 16.06.1988.

Many thanks for your post, if you look at Post Number 2348, that I posted you will find a photograph of Ulan Stefan Wiąckowski, Born 4th January 1903, Army Number : 1903-28-III, Unit : PUK (Carpathian Lancers Regiment), Stefan died on the 16th June 1986.

The above Monte Cassino Cross was awarded to the following recipient :
Rank : Strzelec (Rifleman)
Surname : Kołodziejczyk
Christian Name : Antoni
Fathers Name : Jakub
Date of Birth : 1902
Army Number : (also found on His ID Tags) : 1902-216-III
Unit : 36 Kompania Ratownicza (36th Rescue Company)
During the September 1939 Campaign he was either a Regular or Reservist, he was captured by the soviets at Malowana on the 18th September 1939. He joined the Anders Army at Tockoje on the 2nd September 1941. He survived the war, but I could not find any further information on him.
