Many thanks for your post, I have checked the Register of Recipients of the Monte Cassino Cross and Kresy-Siberia and 3DSK all without finding Hilary Ostrowski.

It might be that he joined the 2nd Corps after Monte Cassino in either 5KDP or 2nd Armoured Brigade or the Artillery or other Units.

Hello Konrad,

Many thanks for your post so he was to late to be at Monte Cassino, the 2nd Document states he joined the Polish Forces under British Coimmand 19th October 1944.

He is not listed in 3DSK lists, so possibly served in either 5KDP, 2nd Armoured Brigade or Artillery or 14th Armoured Brigade or Medical Units, we may never know exactly what unit he served in.

In the description of this documents the seller wrote that he served in 17th Artillery Regiment.

But there was no 17PAL in the 2nd Corps, I wonder if the seller meant either before 1939 or after 1946 ?
