Hi All
I was at a militaria show recently and came across a Monte Cassino cross numbered 20924.
The numbers looked good but the alarm bells were ringing, could not find the fine lines under the numbers and the cross itself had a bit of pitting.
Have decided to add this to my list of crosses to be wary of.
Here is my list of crosses known to be fakes or to be wary of.

Hello DEAR Andrzejku
I received the following scans of documents from my supplier: These are probably soldiers taken prisoner by the Polish II Corps during the Italian campaign and later incorporated into the ranks of the Anders Army.
I usually collect souvenirs only after those who fought at Monte Cassino.
1.MATEJKO Jan Józef vel BEDNARCZYK born 1907-07-02 Mysłowice powiat Katowice.Fathers name Józef.Army number 1907-244-III.Returned to Poland.
Date in Pay Book 4.10.1944.
WBH sygn.IV.501.2.563 k. 85
He probably wasn't awarded MCC.
2.MAZUR Ryszard born 1913-03-21 Kalety powiat Lubliniec.Fathers name Józef.Army number 96362-258-I.I Polish Corps.Returned to Poland.
Does not appear on the list of awardeded KW and VM 1st Armored Division-(gen.Maczek).
