Thank you Andrzej. I am much appreciate it.
On this occasion I would like to mention about another ułan from the Carpathian Lancers Regiment (PULK) who was also KIA on the Hill No. 893 Passo-Corno on 19th May 1944.
Kapral śp. Zygmunt Michalski, 1916-8-III, Unit PULK, MCC Nr: 38099, posthumously awarded the Virtuti Militari Silver Cross Numbered 10093 and KW for Tobruk
The Chaplain of the PULK - ks. kap. mjr Jan Malinowski (MCC Nr: 38131, see my previous post) was known for serving and treating wounded on the first line of attack so the Squadron Commander gave a personal protection to the Chaplain. Kapral śp. Zygmunt Michalski became his guardian.
The last moments of kapral śp. Zygmunt Michalski were described by hero of the PULK ppor. Adolf Bocheński in one of his articles titled "Capture of Passo Corno-893":
"(...) in this fight Corporal Michalski was killed as a Chaplain's guard, but at one moment he shouted that he could not withstand and flew into the fight and was killed".
For more info regarding kapral śp. Zygmunt Michalski see: Monte Cassino cross - post nr #2992
