Thank you Andrzej for the information.
Yes, there were a total of four Kostiuk brothers:
Kostiuk brothers from the top: Jerzy, Jan, Marian, Zygmunt. In the background the wall and windows of their house in Lwów.
Jerzy lost his eldest brother, Zygmunt, who died in the battle of Kutno in the September Campaing 1939. At that time his father, Ferdynad, was taken prisoner by the soviets and as a reserve officer, a former defender of Lwów, he was taken to the camp in Starobelsk.
Two months later Jerzy was arrested with his brother Jan by the NKWD for distributing leaflets informing about a service to be held in one of the churches on the eve of Independence Day. After exhausting interrogations he was released while his brother Jan sentenced to death which was commuted to ten years in labor camps. Among the brothers the fate of a soldier was not written only to Jan who was released from the labor camp, sick with tuberculosis was unable to appear at the assembly point of the Anders' Army and died of exhaustion.
Ferdynand Kostiuk, top right, and comrades in the defense of Lwów, Dobromil, January 1919
Thank you again Andrzej and sorry for a little bit off topic.

Konrad
Here is a photograph of my Grandmother, Maria Maslowicz, with her two sons (my father & uncle) She was a nurse in the #3 Polish Military Hospital (Palagiano, Italy) and was awarded Monte Cassino Commeratative Medal #43007. Maria and her boys were deported from Nowogrodek to somewhere near Krasnoyarsk. After Amnesty they made it to Iran and enlisted. After the war she settled in the UK and continued to work as a nurse at the Polish Hospital in Penley. She finally retired in 1969.
Hello Antonio and many thanks for your story.
It is always nice to know more about our heroes who served in the 2nd Polish Corps.
Your Grandma is listed on the Monte Cassino Cross Recipients List as follows:
Siostra salowa (Nurse) Maria Masłowicz, Army Number: 1900-196-III, Unit: 3 Szpital Wojenny (3 Military Hospital [stationed at Palagiano]), Monte Cassino Cross Nr: 43007
If you have souvenirs from your grandmother and maybe would like to share its photos we would all love to see them.
Regards
Konrad
Thank You Konrad for the information. Unfortunately there's not much that I have left. The family is still trying to put our Polish heritage back together.

I was very happy to see it sell well. It came from the estate of a English collector who had passed away. So pleased for his family.
Cheers, Ade.
