Many thanks for your post, I have searched through the Register without finding him listed, I have also searched through the 3DSK List of soldiers without finding him and the Polish Army Records Centre, it might be that he joined the 2nd Corps after Monte Cassino or after the end of the war in Europe.
The only way to confirm this would be to obtain a copy of the service record of Adam Stefaniak from the British Ministry of Defence.

It is in my friend's old collection in St.-Petersburg. Must apologize as my friend is good at collecting but definitely not a master in taking pictures. Could it be genuine by these pics?

I noticed different digits in upper and low rows. Seems that rows were punched separately by different masters with two sets of digits. Probably, that could make the process faster.... Just notice...
