Bogdan Potocki is listed as Bohdan Wacław Potocki, Ppor. Born 18th September 1918, Army Number : 1918-8-III, Unit : 2BSK, Monte Cassino Cross Numbered : 1734, Also awarded the Virtuti Militari Cross and Legitymacja Numbered : 8611.

With regards to Adolf Mrożek, the only Adolf Listed was a Sierz. Born on the 11th February 1898, Father's Name : Konstanty, Born in : Raciborz, Army Number whilst serving in Italy : 1898-9-III, Unit : 47 Czolowka Chirugiczna (47th Surgical Team), Monte Cassino Cross Numbered : 43477.

Many thanks for your post, I have checked the Register of Recipients of the Monte Cassino Cross, in which there are 2 Latocha's listed :

1) St.Strz. Józef Latocha, Born 1st February 1907, Father's Name : Stanisław, Army Number 1907-23-III, Unit : 5BSK, Monte Cassino Cross Numbered : 8030, by the end of the war he was serving in the Headquarters of the 3rd Bryg and had been awarded the KW.

2) Szer. Stanisław Latocha, Born 1900, Father's Name : Jan, Army Number : 1900-20-III, Unit : SOE Nr. 3, Monte Cassino Cross Numbered : 41540.

I then searched the Polish Army Archives to find only 2 Jan's Listed they are as follows :

1) Jan Latocha, Born : 29th February 1896, Father's Name : Jan

2) Jan Adam Latocha, Born 11th December 1899, Father's Name : Walenty, Born : Doły pow. Brzesko

I then checked the list of 3DSK Soldiers, there I found the following :

1) Strz. Adam Latocha, Born 1921, Unit : 7BSK

2) St.Strz. Józef Latocha, Born 1907, Unit : 3 Bryg. KW

3) Strz. Walenty Latocha, Born 1926, Unit : 6BSK.

After that I hit a wall Wojciech, nothing more can I find on Jan Latocha, if the Family is sure that he was at Cassino, then the best way to confirm that would be to obtain his service record from the British Ministry of Defence.

Kapitan Tadeusz Taradaj was killed on the 17th May 1944 and was buried at Monte Cassino later on his remains where taken to the Polish War Cemetery that was built after the end of the war.
