When awarded the recipients details were as follows :

Surname : Jasik

Christian Name : Józef

Date of Birth : 1920

Army Number : 1920-45-III

Unit : KGD2K

Clearly seen in the tin is his cap Badge from 12PULP, the Register shows his rank as Strz. (Rifleman), and by the end of the war in Europe he was a St. Szer. (Lance Corporal) serving in the 1KSan.

Józef Jasik died on the 12th May 1981.

He was 17 years of age when taking part in the battle for Monte Cassino, by the end of the war in Europe, he had been decorated with the Cross of Valour (KW) and been wounded twice.

With regards to Bronisław Dobrzyński, Nothing listed check PAF Born 22nd January 1915 in Irkuck, although the Polish Army records list him as being born 22nd February 1915 and death listed as being 15th September 1975.

Another Monte Cassino Cross for sale on Allegro.pl, this was first sold as a group on Ebay (reference my post Numbered : 4589).
