Emil survived the war in Europe and came to the UK with his Battalion, and joined the Polish Resettlement Corps (His individual Number Being : 30060486) and then after being demobbed he settled down to civilian life in a foreign land. In 1955 he married Dorothy Daisy Curtis in Windsor and they had 19 years of married life before Emil died in September 1974 in Bracknell in Berkshire.

The Monte Cassino Cross also comes with the "Zeszyt Ewidencyjna" Booklet detailing his Military career and a letter from the British Ministry of Defence.

Leon Waserberger died on the 6th March 1978 whilst living at 8 Ickburgh Road, London, W.5.

By the end of the war in Europe he had also been awarded the Cross of Valour (KW), and after being demobbed from the Polish Resettlement Corps he settled down to civilian life in a foreign land, which he did not see much of. Czesław Barteczka died in 1967 aged 44 in Leighton Buzzard in Bedfordshire.
