    Hi Valerii,

    This is a miniature of the Polish Commemorative Cross of Monte Cassino to wear on civilian clothes. Miniature dress medals are not issued. Hope this helps.

    Hello ProPatria,

    Apologies I have just got home from Holiday, Monte Cassino Cross numbered: 5099 was awarded to: Strz. Józef Górkowy, Born in 1919, Army Number: 1919-33-III, Unit: 5BSK, he survived the war, the only other record that I came across was for a Józef Jan Górkowy, Born in 1919 died 12th May 1973 in Burnaby, Canada.

    Hello Valerii,

    If any Polish Soldier decided to join the British Army, they would be required to wear their Medals in Miniature when attending a Mess Dinner and a lot of veterans wore miniature medals when attending events if they did not wish to wear their fullsize medals.

    When awarded the recipients details were as follows:

    Rank: St.Szer. (LanceCorporal)

    Surname: Reclik

    Christian Name: Bolesław

    Date of Birth: 17th July 1913

    Fathers Name: Józef

    Army Number: 1913-9-III

    Unit: 1KSan.

    By the end of the war in Europe he was serving with the 3KSan

    Bolesław Reclik died on the 14th October 1982.

    When awarded the recipients details were as follows:

    Rank: Kan.

    Surname: Żurawski

    Christian Name: Antoni

    Date of Birth: 1910

    Fathers Name: Wojciech

    Unit: 10PAC.

    When awarded the Recipients details were as follows:

    Rank: St.Strz. (Lance Corporal)

    Surname: Kosiński

    Christian Name: Józef

    Date of Birth: 12th March 1910

    Army Number: 1910-206-III

    Unit: 18BS

    St.Strz. Józef Kosiński was killed on the 5th July 1944 and was buried in the Polish War Cemetery at Loreto

    When awarded the recipients details were as follows:

    Rank: Plut. (Lance Sergeant)

    Surname: Żytkowicz

    Christian Name: Julian Józef

    Date of Birth: 11th February 1909

    Army Number: 1909-5-III

    Unit: 1KSan.

    Monte Cassino Cross numbered: 14416

    He survived the war in Europe ended his service with the 3KSan. 3DSK., in 1956 he emigrated to the USA, no further information found.

    Rank: Kapral (Corporal)

    Surname: Wołoszański

    Christian Name: Leon

    Date of Birth: 1903

    Army Number: 1903-17-III

    Unit: 4BSK

    Monte Cassino Cross numbered: 14013

    At some point after the Battle of Monte Cassino he transferred to the 350th Material Supply Company and whilst in the Company was awarded the BKZzM has shown in the excerpt from the Companies Chronicles:

    Plut. Leon Wołoszański survived the war in Europe and came to the UK with his Unit and after being demobbed from the Polish Resettlement Corps settled down to civilian life in a foreign land
    he died on the 9th March 1962
