    Default Bernard Szałkowski

    Hello everyone.
Please let me know about a soldier who probably served in the 5th Kresowa Infantry Division: SZAŁKOWSKI Bernard, born in 1914. He was the driver. He is buried at the Parish Cemetery in Lubawa. Has he been awarded the Monte Cassino Cross? I am asking for available information about the soldier.
    Thank you very much.

    Hello Tatar4545,

Many thanks for your post, unfortunately nothing listed for him, I have checked through the 5KDP List of recipients there are only 33 Bernards Listed, so he might have joined the 5KDP after the Battle as a replacement.

    Best wishes

    Andrzej
