Hi Valerii,
Hope you are keeping well and safe.
Thank you my friend, I apreciate your help!
I'm wondering why Chojecki Stefan (son of Franciszek, born in 1905) has two different dates of arrest - 1940 and 18 September 1939 ? Or this is two different people? They have different writing of last name - ChOjecki and ChAjecki. What do you think?
Hello Everyone,
Very interesting Monte Cassino Cross numbered 12563 with punctured number "5" to "6":

St. strz. (Lance Corporal) Stanisław Stachowiak
Army Number: 1906-162-III
Unit: 3 Batalion Strzelców Karpackich (3rd Carpathian Rifle Battalion)

Konrad
Hello! The 11506 cross belonged to my grandfather Wladyslaw Stapowicz and I've been trying to find it ever since it was sold on ebay a few years ago without permission by a family member, if anybody knows any information on where it might be, please message me and thank you for your help!

Thanks Kevin for the data provided. Searching for information about the Air Support Signals Section, I found only three MCC numbers:
MCC 41412 - strz. JACEK MICHALSKI,
MCC 41438 - sierż. KAZAIMIERZ WITKOWSKI,
MCC 41398 - strz. ANDRZEJ JAGNIASZEK - Polish at Monte Cassino | WW2Talk
There were only 68 soldiers awarded the Monte Cassino Cross in the Air Support Signals Section. I’m the happy owner of one of them. It looks great. Maybe now I will be able to find additional information about strz. Giecewicz Mieczysław. Could you please help me?
Regards

Hi ?
Unfortunately I have no further information regarding Mieczyslaw Giecewicz.
Regarding sierż. KAZAIMIERZ WITKOWSKI. his Monte Cassino cross is 41433 not 41438.
Regards Kevin
I read in post #1097 that it is MCC 41438. I have no way to verify this data. Thank you very much for the correction.
Still hoping for help from forum members. Who he was, how he fought and what he did after the war, strz. Giecewicz Mirosław, MCC 41390, army number 1900/58/III.
Konrad, can you obtain information from the databases of the Polish Institute of National Remembrance and the Polish Central Military Archives?
Best Regards. ?... Sławek
Hello all, I wonder if anyone can help identify the recipient of monte casino cross number 9358.
Many thanks
