Hello there,
I'm looking for any information related with my great-grandfather Konrad Bystroń who was fighting at Monte Cassino and was awarded the Monte Cassino Cross.
Surname : Bystroń
Christian Name : Konrad
Date of Birth : 1910-02-19
Many thanks for any information.
Hello ? ? ?
My Monte Cassino list is not 100% complete so I cannot confirm if he was awarded the Monte Cassino Cross.
There are two Bystron's that are on the list I have :
1. MCC 40056. sierz.pch. Jan Bystron. 1905/179/III. 301 Kompania Saperow. 301st Engineering Company.
2. MCC 45422. kpr Czeslaw Bystron. 1898/24/III. 326 Skladnica Zaopatrywania. 326th Supply Dump.
Hopefully another member may be able to help.
Regards Kevin
@Gonzo500 - thank you! Yeah, those two I already saw in this list here: Krzyż Monte Cassino - krzyz.montecassino.eu
I reached the PISM for the information but I was redirect to the nor-polishdiscoffice@mod.uk and there I received an auto-replay saying that there is 9 month of delay in processing requests I cannot use the online "Get a copy of military service records" - because, I don't have death certificate and the great-grandfather wasn't born more than 116 years ago (missing 2 years ).
I hope that somebody has own private collection of documents where name of my great-grandfather is present.
Hello All
Today some photo's showing medals and documents including award for the Monte Cassino cross
All awarded to kpr Jerzy Franciszek Pianowski. 1921/144/III. 7 Pulku.Artylerii Konnej. 7th Horse Artillery Reg. 2nd Corps Artillery.
Looks like Jerzy continued his military career being awarded a British G.S.M and Korea medal.

Hello, I have my grandparents' Monte Cassino Cross medals.
I have the medal and the certificate from my grandfather, only the medal from my grandmother.
But I couldn't find their names in any list on the internet, at least what I was able to search for.
How can I research this, or update their names with the medals?
