Many thanks for your post, Ted has given you some information, I have been able to find the following for you
He was part of the Artillery set up in Tobruk, and was awarded the Monte Cassino Cross Numbered : 1766, Date of Birth : 31st May 1916, his full Name was Feliks Sylwester Kuszała
In 1944 he attended a flying course in South Africa, the photograph below shows him standing back row 1st from the left :

Sadly no Monte Cassino Cross present. But I think I have his 39-45 Star, Africa Star with 8th Army Clasp, Italy Star and War Medal.
