Polish hat eagel exile ??

what are your thoughts on this eagle
i was tols it was british made 1940-1946
what would be the value ?
are these rare?

Hi Tony,

You have an eagle badge made for the Poles congregating in France after the fall of Poland after the German and Soviet invasion. These were made in Paris starting in December 1939. The rear fastening on yours has been modified to a pin back from the original crude wire prongs, quite probably a period alteration. It’s a rarely seen type. See post #150 here:
