    This is how History was born.
    Combat parachute mark belonging to St., the gunner of the Sanitary Company of Jan Saik.
    Jan Saik took part in the landing of Driel in Operation Market Garden.
    Mark number 2080/98.
    Original mark, soldering not too beautiful, but original from the era.
    A sign from the collection.
    Wiki quote;
    On September 21, the Polish Independent Parachute Brigade finally landed, but just before take-off, the drop zone was changed. The Poles were landed on the west bank of the Rhine in the Driel region with the task of supporting the British, desperately defending themselves on the other side of the river. At the same time, the resistance of the British 2nd Battalion on the bridge in Arnhem was finally suppressed. The defenders under the command of the wounded Colonel Frosta were taken prisoner.

    From the information I have obtained, no museum in Poland has the Combat Parachute Mark given to the Polish Soldier for Operation Market Garden, if I am wrong, please let me know about the above-mentioned topic.

    In two weeks, the set will be complemented by Jan Saik's uniform sweatshirt and a set of documents.
