Wasn't the Krzyż Zesłańców Sybiru medal mainly for those Poles deported to the USSR and Soviet Republics 1940-41 and later released under the "amnesty" but I was thinking more on the lines of the AK and other political prisoners held captive from approx. 1944 until 1955-56 or even later. Were they ever awarded a specific medal by the Polish state?
