What did I get for Christmas?
Hi I got for Christmas from my wife WWII uniform, she got it from Poland. It is my first uniform, and I don’t know much about it.

Just wondering. Is this a US Army Officers pattern service dress jacket? I know some Poles wore US service dress jackets if they could be obtained. I am going by the colour and the small gilt belt buckle.

Thank you for reply and here is few pictures; the stars look like they have been there for long time. I know it is captains, and it is US, is it from 1943? Is there more to know about it? Who would own it?

Ok, what you have is a US Army Officers tunic, made in Great Britain, but purchased and worn by a Polish offcier.

Thank you for all your help, I really like my Christmas present. My wife surprise me with that Captain tunic. Especially it is my first tunic. I hope she will have more luck finding presents like that
