Hi Reibert, thanks for sharing. Is that a catapillar nesting on the back? Just wondering, is that a bunch of extra thread? I love that Assmann put the date outside the cartouche. Again, thanks, I have fondness for Polizei buckles. rick

A good looking SchuPo.

Interesting in that the standard narrow and rectangular leather Assmann tongue has been period modified by the fitting of an additional and stitched on leather piece, which of course acts as a "uniform protector".
