Hello Huddy,
I don't like the buckle... Why?
1. Police/Fire department buckles are never painted with paint. Either silver/gold or black anodized
This coating makes it difficult to recognize an aged cast copy
2. I think I can still see typical casting errors under the paint (see photo)
3.The two-pin (post, sleeve and prongs) look like they were dug out of the ground with the corrosion and do not fit (in condition) with the rest of the buckle
From the pictures, I wouldn't want them...too many "red flags"
Greetings

Thank you cable ... it seems suspicious to me too
Upon close examination of the clasp at high magnification, I discovered that it was not a casting. The clasp is kicked in and the post and body look like they belong together. Best regards, Huddy
IMO the buckle is original but it has been repainted, that is not the original paint to the buckle
Ben
Thanks Ben, that's exactly what I meant
@Alles,
Yes, the color doesn't make it any easier... I'm not really sure, about the condition of the two-thorn ~ buckle, whether this buckle ~ two prongs was always so together...
Here is an example from me (with shortened leather tab)
Greetings
Hello, she was together... there were remnants of skin on the grapes that could not be preserved...
