You can see the heat spots on the front of the buckle where the catch was applied/reapplied. Could be indicative of a recent repair rather than a sign of a fake, but I don’t collect buckles, so can’t comment further.

A very old fake.
Look at the detail on the front of the buckle, look at the prongs, looks at the ears and crimp, buckle is fake
