Polizei Buckle

Hi,

This polizei buckle was the only other buckle I received in the items from my uncle. It almost looks like the front was dinged a little as it looks kind of bent near the swaz. Also I did not see any maker's mark while examining the buckle. Any opinions on the authenticity of this buckle are greatly appreciated.

To me it's a good private purchase buckle, i don't see any problems!...

Any better pictures of the prongs and bar ?? Other than that it looks good to me....G

As stated the buckle looks original.. The problem is PP or Private purchase buckles or Parade Buckles are virtually un-identifiable as to what maker except for certain traits used by known manufacturers ie; Tool marks, Prongs etc.. OLC ( Overhof & Cie, Ludenscheid ) was one maker that added a Little ID mark on some.. Ben Evans will probably chime in sometime... He surely will be the most helpful... Good luck...G

Brain, nice private purchase original police buckle and from the prongs I would agree with G and say the maker is Overhoff

a nice PP buckle .

IMO it has special features how get by the maker Paul Cramer & co.

Specialy the Prongs and the ears are in my focus and otherway also the backside design .

Here to comparison some other Paul Cramer buckles with maker mark and without maker mark :
