British 1951 Chillington entrenching tool

I'm looking for info about this Chillington entrenching tool.
The design respectively the shape is based on the US M-51 e-tool, only a little less practical.
It got a proofmark with broad arrow on the handle.
The crocodile company logo is faintly visible under the Chillington lettering.
My guess would be a experimental e-tool for trials that was never adopted.
I am grateful for every hint!
