Hello everyone.
Here is another recent addition to the collection of post ww2 French uniforms and equipment. It is an example of the Veste allégée modèle 1947 modifiée 52. This model is based on the standard TTA 47 (toutes armes/modèle général) jacket and was produced from 1952 without lower pockets, hence the 52 modification and 'light weight' designation. Of note is that the production of the 'modèle allégé' jacket was stopped after the Algerian war ended, c.1962.
The jacket has a date stamp of 1954 and was produced in a Khaki colour on HBT fabric with shoulder reinforcements, both of these are post 1952 features.
