Amazing design. I love that buckle. I also saw it for sale and I'm glad that it landed in the right hands!
This always has been one of my favorite buckles.
I especially like the great symbol. The Assmann concern was one of the few that showed this buckle
in an about 1933 loose cataloque-page with article-number 21249/45 mm. And so one can consider
this buckle to be official.
I used this symbol for the "sticker", to be signed, with my book about "Third Reich Reichsbahn Eagles".
200 Copies were serial numbered.
The technical drawing from the Eisenbahn-Zentralamt is being shown on page 83.
In October 1922 the great design was accepted and authorized for use.
For me, since about 40 years or so, I ask myself to what dress/uniform this buckle was worn.
The regulations do not say a thing about it! Is there someone who can enlighten me where
I can find it mentioned in regulations, please? Maybe Christian!
Just to throw in the mix
Ben
