The buckle doesn’t look ground dug. Marc Verstraete posted one like this on WAF with the gold painted catch. It’s prong bar also looks like it is steel and is in a little better shape than this example. The prongs also look different. I will have to search for other examples.

here the nonsens .
Found this ground dug Heinkel buckle .
Have brought it back into shape . Than I have pearlblastet it .
And gave him the new finish , with a soft brass brush .
At last i have replaced the post sleeve .
Bevor cleaning :
Than in restauratet condition :
For me it is clear a downblastet buckle like mine :

Much more preferred when you faked a FAD buckle and blatantly lied to the Forum.

Anyway, this bahnschutz buckle is ready to find a new home
Well its original, from the pics I would not say its been ground dug, but the catch looks like its had work done on it, still a nice buckle
