A new addition. I thought this was just a FAD variation but Angolia say it is AAD, Anhalt Labor Service.

Hello,
IMO it is a nice variation FAD
Angolia , has several errors and is for me not a "buckle man".

I have never seen this variation but I can tell you that I love it!
I believe David North may still have his... Nice..
I'd rather be A "RaD Man than a Mad Man "
Perhaps and with all due respect, a tad harsh on Jack. Without stating the blindingly obvious, none of the buckle reference works are perfect by a long chalk, however the author in question has at least taken the time, cost and effort to publish, unlike the army of yapping armchair/keyboard "experts". The authors Second Edition is still as good as they come, albeit very deeply flawed, misleading and wrong - in parts and in parts only. Recommended reading I would suggest with however the caveat of do not take the book specific words and images at face value and instead, use them as the catalyst or primer for own follow on research. Simple!
In relation to the buckle that started this thread and an example of which that I still hold, for myself a super variant FAD design and for the life of me, I could never understand why it has attracted the sobriquet of AAD.
Regards and best wishes,
David
