Still in nice shape. All might not agree with me but I don't mind the wax coating.

Nice relic - and nice little grouping with the can.
On a helmet such as this with advanced oxidation I personally think it’s ok to apply a wax. I’ve used Renaissance Wax on badly oxidised shells as it helps prevent moisture uptake and provides a protective coating.

Could the remains of the "rubber ring" be the remains of a liner from another helmet that had been stacked on this one?
It looks like it was a lake find - I have seen similar finds on the net that the mud preserves well.

Nice to see the remains of the decals. Honest looking relic. Congrats

Thank you for the good words Guys. About wax - personally I would not apply on every condition but for relic it is OK in my opinion.

The helmet was found at the attic of the local pub there but this was the only find. Maybe you think it is a lake find because of the outlook of the liner’s leather part, but I applied Nivea on it to make it softer as it was dried out and was hard like a rock.

At least its original without a doubt!
