The helmet maker looks to be EF, looking at the batch font.
You would expect to see an EF decal which this is not.
It looks more like a ET, which would not be out of the question, but I am not convinced it is original.
I am not a fan of the liner also.

Thanks for your feedback.I appreciate the response.Could you tell me what looks wrong with the liner? In regards to the batch no.,would the maker/size be stamped near the batch no. on EF made shells?

The liner looks hard and dry?
It looks like a fake one I have.
The same shrunken liner tongues combined with a perfect drawstring.
The chinstrap bales are too rounded also?
I will be interested to view the next comments.
    Thanks for posting it.

Looks like the classic "round bottom" fake decal to me ...... ask me how I know that

The liner is a chemically aged repro too ( look at the wear at the edges where the material goes over the liner band ..... that's right, there IS none! )

    Hello John,
The EF stamp should be at the rear, above the batch number, they are often lightley struck on EF 42s
The leather displays no wear, it looks like a stainer/product has been uniformly applied to artificially age it.
The D rings look to be the wrong shape/size.
The stitching on the rear tounge does not look like the period style of stitching (although the pics aren't the best).
    Do you own it?
