    Hello all,
    i'm new in the forum, this is my second post.

    I know you guys have a lot of knowledge about ww2 helmets etc, so could you please help me to identify the manufacturer of this ground dug helmet?

    bought this m42 in bad condition for a few €, let it bath in destilled water and oxalic acid.

    Based on the lot number of 5507, it could be NS, EF, ET (CKL) or SE (hkp).
    My hunch is CKL, size 66. It is hard to see though.

    I think its a CKL. Even though it is heavily pitted, with the single letter visible it looks like an L thus CKL. Now the "L" could be worn E but doubtful to me.

    That sounds plausible, i will have a look if i can do something to make the letters a bit more readable. We will see

    But i habe 3 other helmets which i will show to you in another thread. I'm curious what you think about them.
