Default Police combat & winter camo relic helmets!

    Hi all,
Just thought I'd share my latest acquisitions, as I haven't done so for a long time. I suddenly became interested in relic helmets so picked up this pair; the first is a severely battle damaged M42 police combat helmet found in Holland, and the other is an M40 winter camo helmet from the Kurland battlefield. Hope you like them!

Couple of nice relic lids. From the damage, I'd hate to have been wearing them. That had to hurt (or worse)!

I know what you mean! The damage on the feldpolizei is so extreme that I can't imagine anyone surviving that. There's no blood or anything on the liner though; I don't really know how to tell if a helmet is from a soldier KIA. The camo has a big dent to the side of it but there's slightly more hope for the soldier having survived...

Robbie there isn't any way of telling if someone was wearing a helmet when it was damaged unless blood etc are present , many helmets were left on the Battlefild and were damaged when no one was wearing it , mostly by schrapnel and blast but also by being used for target practice !!
