Yes it is painted white not whitewashed.

The area around the decal speaks for itself; sorry.
The inside is not painted white, it is very rusty with bubbles of decay that are coated in a thick layer of wax to prevent more decay.by texasuberalles
The area around the decal does speak for itself, the soldier carefully painted around it you can see the brush strokes he left behind.
