Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader
House Carles at the Battle of Hastings
whats the background to the helmet ,it looks like removed from a museum display cabinet or is it just in a private collection ,i would ask the present owner why its being sold on and any provenance he/she has
I don't know if it's just me and the lighting of the photo, but the party decal on the 2nd helmet at the left corner seems really glittery to me.
alex ...i dont' have other pics of informations but i'll ask...meanwhile i can post the pics of the other helmet..thanks to all of you
yes dan..i thought the same...and if one is fake..may be also the other...
It really hurts that they do these things to original helmets from the battlefields, they are ruining history.
all for money...
