Can i clean this winter camo helmet? How?

I have always used Cambridge traditional beeswax polish. This is a natural polish straight out of a jar. Don't use spray polish its crap. Using the cream really does inhibit the rust process. The National Armouries in Leeds use this method to preserve their displays too.

Hi! i have been searching in a few shops here in my country the renaissance wax, but they don't know it, i was found this one in internet, is that what i should put on the helmet?

Would work for my other helmets/relics?

Yes, that is the one you want and will work fine. But use it sparingly, as a little goes a long way. Very good on blades etc.

Hi guys! I have this helmet for more than 2 years, and i always been thinking in clean it in order to get it as good as it could. I open this post 2 years ago, and we thought that the better ideas was to leave it as it is. (I was wondering if acid oxalic could help).
Can i clean this winter camo helmet? How?

I left the helmet in my collection, but a few days ago the idea of using acid oxalic come back to my mind. For now i have used just a bit of soap and a brush, give it a good shower, and take some photos of the after and before process.

So, my question is, should i use a bit just a quick bath of 10/15 minutes of acid oxalic on it, another soap and brush "bath" or what's your opinion.
The winter paint looks good fixed, not just a white wash, so maybe it resist a quick bath of acid oxalic.

Have you tried oxalic on another helmet ?
If you want my point of view, i wil not touch it.
And if you really want to use a treatment, i will try a soft one.
It seems lemon is a good one.
A picture from the inside is possible ?

I tried a few years ago, but with helmets less interesting for me, and can't remember time and proportion of acid oxalic, just experimenting, and with this one i don't want to ruin it. (but it went well with other helmets)

About the lemon juice i have heard that can take of the decals, this one has no decals visible but i guess it could happend the same with the white paint? never use lemon before so i'm lost...

My idea is to do the best possible, that's why i was thinking in just a few minutes in acid oxalic, or any other recomendation, i don't expect miracles.I'm newbie in this stuff haha

Pics of before and after show no appreciable
difference. Personally, I'd leave it alone
- you can only devalue this lid if you
take anything more away from it.
I think it's just fine as is.........
