Fireman’s bayonet restoration

Article about: I was in the process of restoring a fireman’s bayonet I recently acquired, and in the process of removing everything to clean, the lip on the open end of the scabbard broke off. Any ideas

    It might be difficult to solder this, I don't think the solder will adher to the metal in such condition but no harm in trying.

    As long as the contact points are clean, and the correct flux is used, silver solder will work.
